History: On the night of December 20/21th, 1942 a Lancaster commanded by F / S LE Moriarty  takes this part in an attack on the German city of Duisburg. At 18.13 hours, the  Lancaster took off from it’s base Elsham Wolds, never to return. The Lancaster crashed  in Driehuizen.   The reason for the crash has never become clear, the plane is probably a victim of the  German flak. In this crash, the entire crew is killed.
